I attended the June 2009 event at the Orlando Union Rescue Mission. Social Security never sent me a replacement card,& said they received no paperwork from your event. Also,I need a certified copy of my birth certificate, not the generic certificate generated at your event.

Homeless Services Network is a partner of IDignity, but we do not handle issues related to identification for those who have attended IDignity events. IDignity has its own web site where you can find contact information for someone to talk to there. I will also pass along your issue to them myself.

My son called me for help. He needs his birth certificate because his ID has expired. He is homeless and sick. He now has seizures. His seizures was caused from being beatened so severely about the head. He lives in the streets of Winter Haven, Fl. I live in a different state. I cannot help him but we were told about your program from Florida Department of Motor Vehicles. Her name is Sandra Lambert. He cannot get his ID renewed with out his birth certificate. Can you help?
    Thank you

What you are doing is great but not all homeless people can get to Orlando. In Polk county they arrested for hitch hiking and for the purpose of just being homeless. He is also not capable of not walking that far.

    Barbara,

You should visit IDignity’s own web site for more details about their services and how they might be able to help your son. Please click here to go to their site.

IDignity was started in Orange County, but has recently held events in Seminole and Volusia County as well. I’m sure they would like to make it as far as Polk County someday.
