Volunteers Needed for Project Homeless Connect, Downtown Orlando, December 10, 2010

November 12, 2010

Project Homeless Connect is the Homeless Services Network’s outreach to the homeless in Seminole, Orange, and Osceola Counties. It is a one day event offering more than 50 services that are critically needed by homeless persons in one convenient location.

Services offered include showers, haircuts, meals, shelter, employment opportunities, mental health and substance abuse services, Florida ID cards, birth certificate applications, access to Social Security for claims and replacement cards, legal services, medical care, and much more.

HSN will be holding the 5th annual Project Homeless Connect in Downtown Orlando on Friday, December 10, 2010. The location is the OLD Amway Arena, 600 W. Amelia St. Orlando, FL 32801.

HSN is grateful for the support of the City of Orlando and Orange County Government for our event this year. In 2009, Project Homeless Connect served 592 clients in Downtown Orlando. In 2010, we expect to serve 1000.

In order to make this event a success, WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! If you would like to volunteer, please fill out the Volunteer Registration Form.

  1. Sir/Ma’am,

I am a local Air Force recruiter, and would like to get my unit involved with the Dec 10th, Project Homeless Event. However the link for the Registration Form takes me to an error page. Can you please provide assistance so we can hopefully get out there and help support your event? Thanks in advance. Take care and have a great day.

    Sincerely,
    SSgt Vanessa Bastidas, USAF
