The City of Orlando has released the applications for funding under three different programs:

The Department of Children & Families has issued a request for proposals for statewide Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) funding.
Applicants statewide may apply for the State of Florida allocation, including those from formula communities that receive an ESG award directly from HUD. However, priority funding consideration for 2008 will be given to eligible applicants from non-formula communities upon which the state’s grant amount is based.
Application deadline is May 22, 2009, 3:30pm.

It seems the City of Orlando has asked Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) applicants to demonstrate how their agency’s ESG project outcomes relate to the CoC’s objectives.
In the 2008 CoC application for Supportive Housing Program (SHP) funding, HUD established five national objectives to end chronic homelessness and move families and individuals to permanent housing: (more…)
