The Extreme Weather Plan has been activated. Additional logistics have been sent to the Rescue Outreach Mission (1701 W 13th St, Sanford, FL 32771) to enhance shelter capacity at the facility. A back-up shelter and shelter team has been placed on standby in case the Rescue Outreach Mission reaches capacity and/or there is widespread power outages.
This is a brief cold weather event. The Extreme Weather Plan will be deactivated tomorrow afternoon in accordance with our benchmarks.
The watch officer for the Office of Emergency Management will be available throughout the evening at 407-665-1870
